Overview

Throughout this course, you will be creating a marketing plan for a hypothetical company that provides a product or service. For this assignment, you will document your hypothetical company’s background information and mission statement, your company’s short-term and long-term goals, an environmental analysis, and a SWOT analysis.

Note: You should make all assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

Instructions

Create the first part of your marketing plan in 5–7 pages using the Part A Marketing Plan Template [DOCX]

  1. Write an introduction to your hypothetical company, describing its location, the product it makes or the service it provides, and the contents of your marketing plan.
  2. Develop your company’s mission statement that has a long-term view, and includes its industry, goals and values.
  3. Identify the main goals that you would like to achieve within the next year (short term) and within the next five years (long term), including the most appropriate ways to measure them both.
    • Note: Consider the following metrics: tracking downloads of website content; website visitors; increases in market share; customer value; new product or service adoption rates; retention; rate of growth compared to competition; and the market, margin, and customer engagement.
  4. Develop an environmental analysis that includes competitive, economic, political, legal, technological, and sociocultural forces.
  5. Develop a SWOT analysis for your product or service, examining at least three strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for your company.
  6. Use at least three sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides.

My Topic: 

For this course, my hypothetical business is going to be “At Home, In Style”, which will be a home care company. We will provide independent living support services and support so that they can remain in the comfort of their own home. In today’s world especially with the pandemic, people are feeling less comfortable leaving their homes. Our services will come to you. We will be in Hampton, VA and cover a 45-mile territory radius.

Who is eligible?

Disabled or elderly individuals that may require assistant to maintain a at home lifestyle.

What services are provided?

Individuals can call our company and request services that include bathing, grooming, medication reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping, assist with activities of daily living.

Who pays?

Services are billed on an hourly rate. We will offer different packages that can be purchased at a discount rate. We will evaluate the patient and help determine what package or services work best and how often services should be received.

Who delivers the services?

We employ certified caregivers, Certified Nursing Aides, Home Care Aides and Personal Care Aides. All aides must be certified and undergo a background check, drug screen and a hands-on assessment.

COVID is frightening to everyone, but I think may hit elderly individuals more because their chances and are at a higher risk. Most don’t want to leave their house and expose themselves in the community if they don’t have to. Our services will help provide that comfort and peace of mind not only to the patient but their loved ones as well.  

All of our staff with be equipped with proper PPE and can provide supplies to our patients as well if needed.
