Based on both our readings in this course and on your interview above, write an essay (700-800) words in length typed double-spaced in which you examine the role of society and community in language choice, as well as the impact on the speaker. Be sure to address the following in your essay: Clearly articulate your position on the role of one’s society and community in language choice. Present information from our readings that support your view. Support your position with examples from your interview. Consider and identify any objections or limitations before articulating your conclusion. Articulate a conclusion grounded in steps 1-4 above.
